News January 6, 2010 - Gallery Repaired

The Gallery has not been working correctly for some time
I have identified the problem and repaired the program.

Unfortunately, there is no record of who owns each Album.
The correct method is for each member to have his own Gallery
within the overall Gallery

The Member can then have as many Albums as he wishes.
Each picture or video can have a Title and a Description.
The existing Albums have been put into Galleries, with pictures
put into Albums, and as much information as can be gleaned
from the filenames has been added.

The next step is for members to look at the Gallery, identify their own Galleries,
and let me know, so that I can give them a proper name and a new password.

To do this, or to start a new Gallery, if you do not already have one,
send an email to Webmaster

News December 21, 2009 - New Web Host

As members know, we were running out of disk space
for adding photos etcetera.

We have now moved to a new host, which gives us "unlimited" disk space.
This means that you can add as many photos, or videos,
to your personal gallery as you wish.

Also, submissions such as photos, or reports of events,
articles, or any thing else you would like to share, would be appreciated.

Including at least some of the 5 Ws (Who, What, Where, When, Why)
will make photos more interesting.

Email them to Webmaster
or bring them to a meeting.

Field Appreciation Fridays

10 AM to Noon, every Friday, will be for field maintenance, improvements, and general "sprucing up". Come during this period, and help to make our field not only better, but "nicer", then fly.

Field safety and Etiquette

Safety - A reminder: MAAC Safety Code
                        Section 4.4 7. (a)
Smoking is prohibited in the pit area.

Etiquette - Now that members have put in a lot of work to make the field nice,
the practice of throwing cigarette butts on the ground is more noticeable.
A metal can has been provided to dispose of the butts.
