Hello Everyone
These are the noise committee recommendations that have
been forwarded to the PDQFLYERS DIRECTORS for approval.
1. "FLY YOUR AIRCRAFT AS CLOSE TO THE FIELD AS POSSIBLE".
There is no reason to fly farther out than a few hundred feet.
This means not very far past the trees on the edge of the runway.
The closer you fly to the field the less impact you have on our neighbours.
2. "A MODEL AIRCRAFT STICKERING SYSTEM FOR THE FOLLOWING ENGINES".
"ALL GASOLINE ENGINES"
"2 STROKE ENGINES .50 CID" OR LARGER
"4 STROKE ENGINES .91 CID" OR LARGER
This testing must be done by the noise committee members.
Once tested the aircraft will have a sticker attached to it for verification.
These tests will be recorded as well.
The committee has not recommended any changes to the present noise rules,
"only strict compliance to them".
Absolutely no flying any aircraft with the above engines after 5 PM
until tested and certified by the noise committee.
The committee has recommended that violators be dealt with
immediately and harshly.

The First Helicopter event in the Pacific Zone kicked off with the 9th annual PDQFlyers Heli Fly In.
Rain held off but it was overcast and cool.
It did show some promise for a while with some sun.
We even had to start the fire in June mind you.
This year's event was a drop in and fly style, with prizes donated by
www.rcflightstore.com , www.leisuretech.ca , www.pivotalhobbies.com and www.calliegraphics.com
There were draws during the day, and everyone got something.
A small mat with an H on it, donated from rcflightstore, created some of the best autos all day.
Phil Noel was the winner, landing square on the mat on his first try, after that not so close.
Fun was had by all who attended, and at one time we counted 38 people there,
sharing information or taking a burn around the sky.
There was hardly a moment that a heli was not in the air.
Thanks to all who attended, and see you at the Victoria Meet in July.
The Gallery has now been upgraded from ver.1.4.9 to v.1.4.18
as there were serious security flaws in older versions.
If you would like to create a user gallery, and upload your own photos,
send me an email for instructions and password.
If you have any photos of events, or other photos of interest that you wish to share, for the other albums,
send them to me and I will upload them to the appropriate album.
