Saturday September 9th the PDQ Flying club hosted our annual “Seniors Day”. Residents and guests from four different senior care homes travel to the PDQ flying field for a day at the flying field.
This year, 30 pilots were in attendance to provide both a static and flying air show for the guests. A selection of scale civilian and military aircraft, were joined by sport planes and even a combat (ribbon cutting) demonstration. The aerial antics are followed by a hearty lunch of hotdogs and chips. BBQ hot dogs and chips are not on a typical care home’s meal rotation, so it’s a real treat!
A huge thank you to all our pilots and guests, and especially Jim Harris for capturing these fantastic photos of the day.
